Aiming to achieve gender equality and a guarantee of rights for minorities in the AI era, this study group examines relationships between digital information technology and society. Graduated from the Faculty of Environment and Information Studies, and the Institute for Journalism, Media &amp; Communication Studies, Keio University. Joined the Asahi Shimbun in 2012. He has experience reporting on leprosy and the earthquake-related issues, and has been a reporter for BuzzFeed Japan since May 2016. He has been reporting on the issue of U.S. military bases in Okinawa, hate speech, and the war experience, with a particular focus on fact-checking discourse on the Internet. His first daughter was born in 2020, and after taking three months of maternity leave, he has been raising children and working on disaster prevention articles.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u25c7<\/strong><strong>Abstract<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fake news has become a social issue since the spread of the Internet, and was a much discussed topic in last year&#8217;s U.S. presidential election. The spread of inaccurate information on the Internet has become a serious problem in Japan, and in recent years, there have been some online media and mass media that began to &#8220;fact check&#8221; information on social media.
