{"id":1302,"date":"2022-02-16T17:16:14","date_gmt":"2022-02-16T08:16:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/baiforum.jp\/en\/?p=1302"},"modified":"2022-04-28T16:33:26","modified_gmt":"2022-04-28T07:33:26","slug":"re027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/baiforum.jp\/en\/report\/re027\/","title":{"rendered":"Report on the Workshop \u201cThe History of Medialization and Empowerment: The Intersection of Women\u2019s Rights Activism and the Media\u201d (German Historical Institute London)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On January 20-21, 2022, Project Researcher Atsuko Sano from B\u2019AI Global Forum participated in and presented at a workshop \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/ghil.hypotheses.org\/710?fbclid=IwAR2B8URbI7mdRkIbWa8mWv-Rol96lkG542-VnxvODOktVga81vb8yLJkH8M\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The History of Medialization and Empowerment: The Intersection of Women\u2019s Rights Activism and the Media<\/a>\u201d organized by the German Historical Institute London.<\/p>\n<p>This event was the culmination of a three-year project examining the networks, interconnections and dependencies of women\u2019s rights and the media throughout the long-twentieth century focusing on the history of feminism(s) as a lens into changing practices and ideas of women\u2019s emancipation.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Sano examined the legal changes in abortion in Germany from the perspective of the media and the women\u2019s movement, taking into account the relationship between the first and fourth waves of feminism.
