He is the author of six books, primarily on the politics of immigration and demographic change\u2014all from Oxford University Press or Cambridge University Press. He has authored articles in numerous academic journals and published commentary with news publications including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Guardian, POLITICO, and CNN.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n \u25c7<\/strong>Description<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Majority Minority: How Do Societies Respond to Demographic Change?<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n How do societies respond to great demographic change? This question lingers over the contemporary politics of many countries where persistent immigration has altered populations. Until now, most of our knowledge about large-scale responses to demographic change has been based on studies of individual people\u2019s reactions, which tend to be instinctively defensive. We know little about why and how these habits are sometimes tempered to promote more successful coexistence.
