The series seeks to bridge perspectives from the arts and sciences, with a particular emphasis on encouraging students with technical and engineering backgrounds to engage with ethical issues surrounding AI.

The concept of “desirable AI” refers to the development of technology that places social justice and environmental sustainability at its core. Rather than simply optimizing technology, the goal is to design AI that reflects and respects the diverse values and needs of different cultures. This approach requires acknowledging different worldviews while avoiding issues such as cultural appropriation and “diversity washing” in technology development.

◇Schedule (Click here for more information on the program)

October 9th Introductory Session: Distinct approaches to AI ethics

November 6th Indigenous AI Ethics

November 20th Selfhood in the era of AI

November 27th Disability Studies, Health Justice and AI

December 4th Data & Algorithms

December 11th International Approaches to AI Governance

December 18th Sustainable AI in Social Context

January 8th Art & Design

January 15th Digital Immortality

January 22nd AI, Body, and Aesthetics

◇Organizers
B’AI Global Forum, Institute for AI and Beyond, The University of Tokyo; The University of Bonn; Leverhulme Center for the Future of Intelligence; The University of Cambridge; The University of Europe for Applied Sciences

◇Inquiry
B’AI Global Forum Office
bai.global.forum[at]gmail.com（Please change [at] to @）

© Clarote & AI4Media / Better Images of AI / L

[2
7,321,283,97,333,332,135
post-3111","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-events","tag-ai","tag-aigovernance","tag-art","tag-culture","tag-desirableai","tag-digitalimmortality","tag-ethics
["GET
