International Comparative Studies on AI Perception

The B’AI Global Forum has been conducting an international comparative study on AI perceptions in collaboration with Hiromi Yokoyama’s laboratory at the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe.

From 2021 to 2024, we conducted a survey examining the relationship between attitudes toward AI use and awareness of ethical, legal, and social issues (ELSI) among the general public in Japan, the United States, Germany, and South Korea. The findings were published in the international academic journal AI & Society*.

Through empirical research on how AI users perceive both the challenges and opportunities of AI, we contribute to discussions on the societal implications of science and technology innovation.
