Report on the 2021 Academic Exchange Session of the China-Japan Young Elite Program of Shanghai Jiao Tong University: “Proposal to Utilize Digital Transformation to Promote Gender Equality”

From August 23 to August 29, 2021, Project Researcher Atsuko Sano from the B’AI Global Forum participated in the academic exchange session, which was a part of the China-Japan Youth Elite Program of Shanghai Jiao Tong University and the University of Tokyo. The 1st BAIRAL Research Meeting for 2021 Report on “The Development of the Dictionary Enabling Deaf Children to Look up Basic Japanese Verbs from Japanese Sign Language”

On April 24, 2021, the first BAIRAL research meeting for 2021 was held on Zoom. BAIRAL invited members of a research project that develops a dictionary for deaf children by using deep learning. In this talk event, the translation between (spoken) Japanese and Japanese Sign Language was provided with support from Meisei Gakuen.
