Professor Yuko Itatsu, Associate Director of the B’AI Global Forum, wins the best paper award!

 

Yuko Itatsu, Professor in the Interfaculty Initiative in Information Studies / the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Information Studies at the University of Tokyo and Associate Director of the B’AI Global Forum, has won the Association for Leisure and Tourism Studies Award 2021 (Academic Division, Best Paper Award) for her paper “Intersections of Leisure Studies and Artificial Intelligence: The issues and their potential” (Journal of Leisure and Tourism No.8, March 2021).

This paper examines the intersections between leisure studies and AI and explores ways in which perspectives derived from AI implementation and ethics can contribute to the advancement of leisure studies.
