On March 3, 2022, the Institute for Future Initiatives (IFI) at the University of Tokyo hold an event “How Can VR Promote Awareness of Unconscious Bias?: About a Workshop Project Considering the Work Environment Surrounding Child-Rearing.” Dr. Arisa Ema, who is a member of the B’AI Global Forum and an associate professor at the IFI, participated in this symposium as a moderator in the panel discussion.

On January 14, 2022, the 7th BAIRAL research meeting for 2021 was held on Zoom in the form of a workshop. Shota Fukujima and Kazuki Senkoji from rinna Co., Ltd., a company that promotes the application of AI characters such as “AI Rinna” in society, introduced examples of AI characters being developed by rinna Co., Ltd. and facilitated the discussion on how AI characters can improve society.

On Friday, October 29th, 2021, members of the B’AI Global Forum visited the 2nd Artificial Intelligence Exhibition & Conference (Autumn) at Makuhari Messe in Japan. The event, which is held twice a year, is a great opportunity to not only learn about concrete examples of the use of AI in business, but also to listen to lectures by front-line experts. In this report, AI application examples from the exhibitions and lectures at the event will be introduced, taking into account the perspectives on the minorities that the B'AI Global Forum usually discusses.
